This package includes the Machine with all standard accessories, Mask of choice (any brand and any style) and has a 5 Year warranty. This is not an Auto machine and is a fixed pressure machine.
The DreamStation is a product from Philips, a company that has been manufacturing quality products for decades. The white color of the units has them looking modern and classy. You can see Philips personality in the design of this product.
The DreamStation was designed with a minimalist concept in mind, meant to blend in with the rest of the room. The unit has a display screen that shows information such as pressure levels, apnea levels and interface leakage. After you wake up, you will have the previous night’s report ready for you.
The humidifier has an adaptive mode which automatically adjusts to the room conditions and will optimise the humidity. This humidifier can also be removed if you want to use the machine without the humidifier. This is particularly useful if you are travelling and would like to take a smaller machine.The product also come standard with a heated tube and this prevents unwanted condensation in the winter months.
When it comes to communication, the DreamMapper App is an application from Philips Respironics which enables you to upload data from your machine to various devices. There is Bluetooth that you can use to connect your machine with your phone, computer or tablet. There is no need for a modem in the Dreamstation as the phone will upload the data to the cloud. This data is then available in the Philips Care Orchestrator software and advice and reports can be supplied.
There have been numerous complaints from CPAP users concerning the difficulty of breathing against the pressure. The machine has C Flex+ which is designed help patients to inhale and exhale against the pressure. This feature helps in providing comfort to patients.
Another issue faced by CPAP users is the difficulty of sleeping with high air pressures. The SmartRamp feature makes it easier for patients to fall asleep by reducing the machine’s pressure levels. Unless the patient experiences obstruction in their airway, the SmartRamp will ensure that the pressure levels remain low throughout the night.
An additional feature that will come to the aid of many is the new diagnostic tool.There are many times when a patient returns their machines back claiming that they are faulty, only because they hadn’t learnt how to use their machines properly. The diagnostic tool will run a quick check to determine whether everything is in working order.
This is a fixed pressure machine and is not the Auto which looks identical to the Auto. The Auto has different software to allow it to be able to vary the pressure throughout the night whereas a fixed pressure will come to you set on the pressure you need. Youy would need to supply us with this pressure or we can set this remotely through the modem.
Even though you can use Bluetooth there is still an SD card for data storage. This card can help show data for the previous 7 days, including the breathes you take.
